AT CHENNAI WORKSHOP:

Workshop on "Organising our Union in BSNL"

Now, when verification of membership by secret ballot is on anvil, we must make
our all endeavor to secure first place and should put all our resources on move and test.
We should start the work
with Organising first steering committee at Circle level accommodating all activists and all FNTO Unions and should see that
there is no scope for slightest rift in our understanding. Our target should be 15th July to form such committee, followed
with such formation of such committees at all SSA levels and should ensure the formation by end of July 2001. All the District
Co-Coordinators should be assigned duties to organise campaign in their respective SSA.
For Gujarat, at least
five conventions are considered necessary to organise campaign. In workshop of one day, Circle and CHQ leaders should remain
present and motivate the activists. Filling up form should be taken up by August 01 so that members should be ready mentally
for voting in our favour.
Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Baroda and Surat will be proper place for such workshops and one workshop
exclusively for all district secretaries should be organised in Ahmedabad in first week of August 01.
Publication
of propaganda materials in vernacular language should be given prominence over English. Handout and posters should be prepared
and pasted and members should be attracted with its contents.
In Himatnagar, Surendranagar and Amreli there is enough
scope for penetrating in the areas as none is properly organized and we are too weak in these areas.
At Central
Level, at least General Secretary should be made available for next eight months continuously for monitoring and flashing
news from time to time and maintaining regular stream of Journal with propaganda material.
In telegraph arm there
is scope for virtually eliminated Kutty fraction as there is no leader at Circle level in last six years and all members are
feeling frustrated and awaiting opportunity to join FNTO at first available opportunity.
In order to bring cadre
of Phone Mechanics in our fold, we should fully utilised services of federation and leaders. Now when, JTO are expected to
join executive cadre union, it will be proper to impress upon them to render all possible help to us without any reservation.
