MAHARASHTRA CONVENTION
The Maharashtra Convention of FNTO affiliated
unions were held at Poona on 4th November 2001, under the chairman ship of Shri P.B. Diyawar, Circle Secretary, NUTE Linestaff
& Group C. This color full convention had the participation from almost all divisions and sections of Maharashtra. An
appreciable number of about 200 delegates participated in this State Level convention. Mr. L.B. More, Mr. Karedi, Mr. Kadam,
Mr. Ganvane & Mr.S.G Dekate, (CTO ) and others leaders of RTEU, NUTE Gr.C & NUTE Ls & GR D of Poona took initiative
for Organising this convention in a befitting manner.
The interesting part was the participation from Sangli and
Telegraphs Traffic section in spite of Mr. Mukthali and Paduval parting FNTO. Sanglai district Secretary Mr. Podkar said not
a single member left our union along with Mukthali. The Branch secretaries of CTO, Nagpur and CTO Poona said they are not
going to follow Mr. Paduval and delegates demanded their removal from primary membership. The convention passed suitable
resolutions expelling these selfish betrayers from the primary membership of FNTO and its affiliated unions. FNTO had already
removed them from the JCM seats they enjoy from FNTO quota.

Kamble, D\S CTO, Nagpur, Mr. Ganvanene, D\P, Poona Mr. G.K. Patil, Civil wing, Bombay and Mr. Tahakore of Telecom. Factory,
Bombay.
The President, FNTO, Shri Thomas John, in his address impressed upon the FNTO, activist to work hard for to
bringing the National Union of BSNL Workers to the 1st slot. He said that the FNTO is not subscribing to one union policy,
as we are against the MONOPLOY of single trade union. He said that one union policy will kill the democratic rights of the
workers and the so-called leaders can sell the workers and their rights, for their personal gains in the corporate set-up.
He quoted the Rs. 3.5 crores uniform scam of MTNL, where union leaders are in CBI net. He said FNTO was the watchdog of Telecom
Trade union movement all these years and we will continue to execute this responsibility sincerely. The delegates took a pledge
to start vigours campaign for organising the NUBSNLW in all divisions.

FNTO HEAD QUARTER held its F.W.C. Meeting at C.T.O. Bombay LOCAL JCM Office on 16.90.2001.
Shri
Thomas John K, President, presided over the meeting.
S/Shri K.Vallinayagam, D.D.Mistry, N.R. Hegde, S.V.Padwal, Nair
Stenographer Union G.S., Daniel, (RTEU General Secretary Now merged with NUBSNLW), Factory Workers Union Representatives,
attended.
S/Shri S.JAVRAPPA (Bangalore), M.M.Saxena (Bhopal),P. Andiappan (Chennai),J.B. Kumpavat (Ahmedabad),also
attended the meet as Observers.
It was decided that hence forth all the Circle Secretaries of NUBSNLW will form
part of NUBNSLW Central Body as c.w.c.members.
It was decided that hence forth all the Unions will remit their
C.H.Q. QUOTA to NUBSNLW H.Q.
Shri Linagamurthy, G.S. LINEMAN & GROUP 'D' was also present.
It was
decided that the C.H.Q. will start according its approval to Circle Bodies of NUBNSLW as desired by the BSNL Administration
and the work will be expedied by October 01 end.
It was also decided to vigorously pursue the work of membership
verification and district co-ordination committee should be completed by November end, latest.
The work of enrolling
members by filling up membership forms should also be given momentum.
The new flat and mono of NUBSNLW also discussed
and approved. The Logo as put up by Gujarat Cirle was approved.
It was informed that NUTE BULATIN of August 2001
is under despatch by Shri D.D.MISTRY, Publication Secretary, from Ahmedabad.
It was decided to put a full stop
on so called misguiding propaganda of Unity Move and in cler terms it was decided to inform all the activists that NUBSNLW,
will be one of FNTO Affiliates and will face CBA Programme on strength of its own.
